Scottish Highland November 2010
Travel to Scotland
On the Caledonian Sleeper train
Driving over the Highlands in the morning
On the beach in Gairloch
Low tide
Freezing but beautiful evening
And then it started snowing
A day out hiking
Are you sure we are still on the right path?
Sea and mountains
Very still day
Snow and loch
Take the bloody picture! I am not having my picture taken with my hat on and it is way too cold to stand around like this for long!
A nice spot for lunch.
A warm lunch is great a day like this.
Is that the sun?
What a pretty view - but better head back before dark!
Poole-house hotel
A very cosy hotel, where you could snuggle up in the window and watch the sea, all the birds and even seals. Easily the largest hotel suit we ever stayed in (85 sqm) and a very quirky bathroom with a Victorian "bathing-machine"
Just what you need after a day of hiking
Looking for the seal
The North Atlantic
This day with all the weather fronts crashing in towards the coast it was not advisable to be in the mountains.
Taking a picture of a very large ocean with a very small camera.
Hold on to your hat and get off the beach before that weather front out there hits us!
Snowy Day
Early morning view from hotel window.
Dawn is breaking
A bit of snow tonight
Cemetery vith a view of the Atlantic
